Canada Bolt — A 20-year supplier, rebranded and rebuilt around a searchable 3,000-product quote engine, live in four weeks.
The brief
Canada Bolt has supplied fasteners, abrasives, chemicals, and shop supplies to Ontario's trades for more than 20 years — 2,000+ customers, 15,000+ orders filled. But the way customers found a part and got a price hadn't kept up. Inventory was hard to navigate online and quoting was a slow, manual back-and-forth. Canada Bolt needed a rebrand and a website that could put its entire inventory in front of a buyer and get them from product to price in one step — live fast, not in a two-quarter agency cycle.
Our approach
We embedded like operators. The work started with catalogue logic: a three-tier architecture — category → product type → SKU — and a data model built so one part and 30,000 behave the same way. We redesigned the brand — a new mark and digital design system carrying from the site to signage, workwear and collateral — then built a mobile-first, headless-CMS site with faceted search, a 3,000+ product catalogue, and a browse-to-order quote flow: build a parts list, submit to the counter, no accounts, no checkout. We consolidated domain and DNS, migrated the team to Google Workspace with email authentication, and laid an AI/SEO/geo-SEO foundation. QA across devices, a controlled launch, and team training. Deposit to live: four weeks.
“For 20 years, getting a price meant a phone call or a trip to the counter. Now our customers can find any part and get a quote in a couple of clicks — and the brand finally looks like the company we've become. EMWX rebuilt all of it in four weeks and never slowed us down.”
